The Whistler Mountaineer, debuted May 1, 2006 takes passengers on a breathtaking, three-hour journey between Vancouver and Whistler aboard restored 1949-51 Pullman coaches. It’s a relaxing alternative to driving the scenic but sometimes treacherous Sea to Sky Highway.
You can catch the train to Whistler from North Vancouver. Most of the passengers arrived at the station by complimentary shuttle from their downtown hotels and the cruise ship terminal.
