Mother Nature sure has a way about her. Sometimes, she grants your every wish and delivers fresh, soft powder to the ski slopes just in time for your annual trip to the mountains. And it’s just the beginning of the 2007 vacation season. According to reports, many of the more widely visited resorts in Colorado have had to delay opening due to poor winter weather conditions. Snow doesn’t fall too well in a spring-like environment. Sure if you are a die-hard skier, you can take your rock skis. But, if it’s not too late, you can also change your plans and head north to Whistler Blackcomb in Canada.

The season is still early enough that finding Whistler accommodations should be simple. And with a base of 37 inches of natural snow, some of which came early enough for Whistler Mountain to open a week early, it’s a safe bet to say that the beautiful white stuff will be plentiful this winter season in Whistler Canada.

Most Whistler accomodations allow you to hit the slopes right from the back door of your condo or vacation rental. And many are also within easy walking distance to some of the area’s favorite eateries and shops. Think of it this way: Mother Nature is giving you lots of snow. She just wants you to have a Whistler vacation this year. She knows that once Whistler hosts the 2010 Olympics and is shown across the globe on TV, Whistler accommodations may become hard to secure.
