A Twist to Secure Whistler Accommodations
When people come to Whistler BC Canada for their ski vacation, they want to relax and have fun. They also want to make sure their belongings are safe when not in use. It’s impractical to expect travelers to Whistler Blackcomb in Whistler, British Columbia Canada to return to their respective Whistler accommodations to take a break from their time on the slopes. That’s why Whistler provides lodges and eateries in easy to access locations for visitors. They want you to come in, sit down, and enjoy a cup of coffee or hot chocolate while you warm your cold body and regain energy for the next round of fun on the slopes. Now, an added convenience to snow sport enthusiasts will keep equipment from disappearing while they lay neatly stacked in ski racks: the Whistler Bait Ski and Snowboard Program. While ski and snowboard theft has been low for the last several years, officials at Whistler are doing what they can to prevent any theft period. And since bait programs are not new, creating one for snow equipment makes sense. Kevin Rea, Whistler Blackbomb Security Loss Prevention says, “It is simply unacceptable for a guest’s visit to be ruined due to loss of their equipment while at our resort.” I couldn’t agree more.
The message to would-be thieves is clear: we’re gonna get you, so don’t even bother. Consequences for stealing anything, including food and beverages, from Whistler resorts is steep: loss of ski privileges for a full year. Ouch! I can’t think of anything that would be worth missing out on North America’s best ski slopes. In addition to Whistler’s Bait Program, Whistler provides on-mountain storage to mountain buffs who don’t have their own lock for a minimal $2 fee. Whistler employees want you and your equipment to be safe: it’s part of a fabulous Whistler ski vacation.
Speaking of a Whistler ski vacation, now that you know your skis and snowboards will be even safer this season, go ahead and look into getting your Whistler accommodations. With the promise of a great snow season, you’ll be glad you did!
