The groundhog didn’t see his shadow, so pack away your skis, put your winter boots and coats away for another year. Wait! Whistler still has tons of snow! The groundhog doesn’t how much snow has fallen in Whistler in the past few days, if he did he would stay in his hole until April. Ski season in Whistler doesn’t stop just because the groundhog says winter is over!

With March break just around the corner, now is a wonderful time to visit Whistler, B.C. When school break comes, the slopes will be packed full of holidayers, especially first time skiers. Experts are more likely to come now, when the crowds are thinner. So, if you love watching experts shred and show off their stuff, or maybe you are expert yourself, head over to Whistler before the rush!

Now is also a great time for accommodation deals. Hotel owners hate empty rooms and are quite willing to offer crazy deals! And, as always, pets are welcome in just about every hotel, motel, cabin and B&B in and around the famous little village.

March is family month where kids are invited to stay free, ski for free and in many cases, eat free! So, you bet there will crowds coming. Take advantage of the snow now and have the glorious mountains all to yourself!
