If you are not yet prepared to say adios to the snow, head out west to British Columbia’s famed ski resort, Whistler. and you can do it on a budget.

In the first part of the 1960`s Whistler Village was just a clearing in the forest. There were no ritzy hotels or cool restaurants to be seen. But now this place has unfolded to include those as well as amazing ski-runs that are miles long and sit together on Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. In the beginning trying to get there, one experienced a rough ride over a logging road that is now a much smoother drive on the highway.

Whistler, today, is an exceptionally famous ski resort in the southern part of British Columbia that also offers exceptional prices.This is the place where the rich and famous like to stay but Whistler is also able to welcome the average person who is looking for a vacation of a lifetime!

Budget Sleep-Overs

It depends on when you want to go, but keep in mind that the Christmas and New Year time of year makes for high prices. Those prices drop a lot in the latter part of March and April. And yes, Whistler is open until the end of May for all of your favourite winter sports. In the middle of February you can grab a room at the hotel Listel right in the village of Whistler for about 30% cheaper than the usual price. The resort has an official bureau for visitors that also carries offers for discounts on lodging including last minute grabs on deals that even include an extra night or free parking.

Alternatively, there are also hostels and dormitory type places to choose from. So, check out Whistler for fabulous scenery, great fun and great deals! You will instantly become fascinated with Whistler and want to experience all it’s glory over and over!
