Pemberton Accommodation

Friday, November 20th, 2009

The village of Pemberton has a population of just over 2,000 and is a 20 minute drive from the beautiful Whistler Resort. The village can be found at the foot of Mt. Currie. It offers shops, restaurants, accommodations, and other service. In the Pemberton area, you’ll find snowmobiling, horseback riding, skiing, hiking, gloving, rafting, gliding, and jet boating.

Some of the accommodation in Pemberton rivals that of accommodation in Whistler, and is often very affordable and provides something for everyone, whether they’re traveling alone or as a couple or family, or whether they’re traveling with a large group.

The accommodation available in Pemberton ranges from hotels and lodges to B&Bs and Inns.

The Auberge du Pré B&B
The Auberge du Pré B&B is one of Pemberton’s finest accommodations. It provides a delightful retreat with quality 11-20-09furnishings, spacious and elegant rooms and bathrooms, as well as friendly hosts. With a beautiful courtyard garden designed by a landscape architect, there’s a beautiful outdoor breakfast area for the summer months. Outdoors there’s also a fire pit, where guests can join around the campfire on those chilly nights.

Guests can expect gourmet breakfasts made of quality local ingredients, a luxurious guest lounge with a fireplace, modern facilities including wireless Internet, and TV/DVD on request.

The Birken Lakeside Residence
Another of Pemberton’s fine accommodations is the Birken Lakeside Residence, which is a waterfront resort right next to Gates lake in the coastal mountains. At this resort, you’ll find six cabins, a campsite, plus laundry, hot tub, dock, and all amenities you’ll need for your time away. The resort is only forty minutes away from Whistler, so is close by, and yet is still away from it all.

While staying at the Birken Lakeside Residence, you’ll be able to enjoy all sorts of activities year round, including skiing and snowboarding during the winter months, and swimming, canoeing or kayaking, fishing, golfing, and mountain biking the rest of the year.

The Greenwood Country Inn
Another example of fine Pemberton B&B accommodation is the Greenwood Country Inn, located in Pemberton Village. With bird themed rooms, or the Jacuzzi suite to choose from, there’s delightful accommodation no matter what your tastes. All rooms offer delightful sunrise views to help you make the most of your vacation mornings.

Pemberton accommodation provides an excellent alternative to Whistler hotels and accommodation, as it’s often more available, and can be much less expensive than that found in Whistler Village.

Wednesday, March 7th, 2007

With the world wide attention focussed on Whistler 2010, accommodations may be a huge shortage and schools and trailers may be the place to lay your head if Whistler faces this bed shortage crisis.

While the Whistler hotel accommodations are many, you can expect the owners of Whistler accommodations – the condo’s, cottages and homes, will be up for rent, and with a high price. The opportunities for owner direct accommodations for rent in Whistler should be tremendous for these home owners.
